TENNIS

At the end of 1999 ‘IZIDA’ Ltd. established an indoor sports hall with two tennis courts. The idea was to meet the needs of the city dwellers playing tennis. As there were lots of youngsters amongst them in 2000 ‘IZIDA’ Tennis Club got registered. It represents a juveniles' school for building up contestants of high professional level. The goal of the tennis club in its turn necessitated the building up of an open training summer base.

'IZIDA' Tennis Club  disposes of:

1. Winter sports base consisting of:
    - two indoor  tennis courts covered in artificial grass of type WIMBLEDON SPECIAL; stands, changing rooms, café looking on the tennis courts, WiFi Internet.

2. ‘IZIDA complex’ Summer base consisting of:
      - PARK HOTEL IZIDA
    - four perfectly kept red-clay tennis courts standardly sized, lightened up for late-hour games;
    - 'IZIDA' Club-restaurant  seating 200 that can enjoy the panoramic view to the tennis courts as well as the beautiful park scenery. The restaurant offers access to WiFi Internet connection.
    - a healt-restoring sport centre offering sauna, steam-bath, different types of massages and cosmetic procedures.

First and foremost we take pride in the achievements of the club’s contestants accomplished under the guidance of the licensed trainers team- those are: Yuri Doychev, Boris Mihaylov, Nayden Belchev and Milen Lazarov
For the past decade our contestants have won medals in tournaments and championships from the Republic calendar of BTF.
The greatest achievements are:
- in 2007 - Vice-champion title from the State's championship for Vladislav Mateev in the single / and team-play contests for children aged up to 12, two bronze medals from the State's championship up to the 14-year old for Dimitar Petrov, Dimitar Petrov- Vice-champion in Viena open in the up to 16-years of age single contest
- in 2008 - Vice-champion title from Austria open for Dimityr Petrov in the up to 12-years of age single contest, bronze medal for Presiyan Ivanov from his participation in the State’s men tournament, the adolescents’ team aged up to 16 became Bulgaria’s vice-champion from the State’s team championship, the men’s team was ranked fifth in the State’s team championship, Vladislav Mateev was awarded third place and the bronze medal at MASTERS, the girls’ team aged up to 16 finished fifth in the State’s team championship.
- in 2009 - third palce and the bronze medal for Dimitar Petrov in the State’s championship for singles; Dimitar was also Bulgaria’s doubles champion, Yiri Doychev was ranked 23rd in the International team championship of ITF, two bronze medals for Mihail Atanasov from the State's championship in the up to 16-years of age team and mixed-team contest
In 2006 only, the contestants of ‘IZIDA’ /except for those listed above/ and namely Dragomir Dralchev, Desislava Stoyanova, Maksi Vicheva, Yulia Nediylkova, Dimana Miteva and Kalina Bozhilova were the prize winners of 50 awards from the State's and International tennis tournaments held that particular year.
Over 200 children who are in training in the club at present hope to reach their achievements and even exceed them, winning even at the Wimbledon. And why not?!
- in 2010 - IZIDA Tennis Club – the champion of Bulgaria in the State Team Tournament U18 – boys; 3rd place – bronze medals won in the State Team Tournament U16 – girls; Contestant Dimitar Petrov (m) – bronze medal won in the State Team Tournament – men for the team of Tennis Club Supersport, Varna city.
